Q: Why a giant list of sex toy stores?
A: Why not? I have a lot of free time. In all honesty, though, I think everyone deserves to be able to find and enjoy sex toys if they want to have them, and having a list of options (especially body-safe ones!) that are available helps people find that.

Q: Why a Neocities page? Why not a Discord or something on social media?
A: Discord servers require joining to view their contents, and social media policies can change without warning - like Tumblr's NSFW ban, where the original version of this list was hosted. Neocities allows 18+ content, and also allows people to anonymously browse without concerns of being seen by peers or the obligation of joining new and often intimidating communities. However, to supplement the list provided here, there is also a message inbox associated with the list on Retrospring, and I intend to post the older toys that had been archived on the original blog on Twitter at @FMasterlist.

Q: Are you affiliated with any Discord servers?
A: This version of the list does not have an affiliated Discord server. The original version of the list on Tumblr did, but its moderation was passed on to a third party and there is no current overlap or communication between the mods present there and myself running this site.

Q: Do you make money off of this site? Are you sponsored by any stores?
A: I am not directly sponsored by any store for running and organizing this list, though I am a part of one of the store's teams. While this is easily findable through my own accounts, I won't name it here to avoid biasing traffic; I don't run this site for personal advertising, I run it because I want to, and don't intend to profit off of that.

Q: What is mica? What's the difference between natural and synthetic mica?
A: Mica is a silicate mineral used as a pigment in various mediums, including makeup and sex toys, to give colors a pearly or metallic look. However, a lot of natural mica comes from mines using child slavery or other unethical practices, and even "ethical" natural sources still come with a huge health risk for their workers and an environmental toll because it's still mining even if you put a smiley face on it. A lot of other people have written more about it than I could, such as here, here, here and here. Luckily, for those who care enough to change their buying or toy-creating habits based on the impact their actions directly or indirectly have on the world around them, synthetic mica is lab-made and thus offsets many of the ethical and environmental costs of mined mica while still retaining a wide range of shimmery colors. And, frankly, even if they sucked a lot more, I'd rather a matte dildo than an ecosystem-crushing one.
